PennDOT: Expect Delays Today on Route 100 North

Beams being removed from bridge over Lehigh Creek.

PennDOT advises motorists to expect delays today on Route 100 northbound, between Spring Creek Road and Alburtis Road from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. to allow workers to remove beams from the bridge spanning the Lehigh Creek.

PennDOT says a series of seven traffic stoppages to allow the workers to remove the beams should last no longer than 15 minutes in duration.

PennDOT said the work is part of a bridge replacement project that began earlier this month and will last through November.

PennDOT said Route 100 southbound will remain closed and detoured for the duration of the project. The posted detour utilizes Spring Creek Road and East Penn Avenue/Alburtis Road.
