Glasbern Inn Chef Wins "Taste of Elegance" Contest

Chef Nate Weida served up a delectable pork tenderloin

Chef Nate Weida of the  in Fogelsville won the16th Annual Pennsylvania Taste of Elegance Chef Competition. 

Chefs competed in August at Northampton Community College for a $1,000 cash prize and title of 2011 Taste of Elegance Chef, which will allow them to participate in a National Pork Board program this spring with other state winners.

Weida's entrée was a pork tenderloin prepared sous vide with succotash tossed in a spicy herb vinaigrette, bacon corn pudding, and a cherry demi glace, garnished with puffed pork shoulder and powdered pork fat.
