Gas Prices Soaring in Upper Macungie

We've searched and found the cheapest gas prices in Upper Macungie and the surrounding areas.

Gasoline prices are soaring and prices are high all over the Upper Macungie area.

To illustrate the height of the surge, the national average cost of a regular gallon of gas is up from $3.30 one month ago to $3.75, according to AAA.

AAA says gas prices are 15 cents more expensive than one week ago, 44 cents more than one month ago and 19 cents more than the average price one year ago. The 44-cent month-over-month increase is the most dramatic since June 2009.

Analysts say the price increases result from a number of factors, including a rise in crude oil prices, an increase in demand for oil in other countries and oil refinery closings.

  • Trexlertown: Giant, 7150 Hamilton Blvd.: $3.69.
