Air Products Activates Solar Panels

Trexlertown company expects to save $250,000 per year on energy costs.

Air Products of Trexlertown activated more than 11,000 solar panels at its Trexlertown location Tuesday, according to this report from the Morning Call.

The report said the company the 15-acre solar farm will power the three of the company's six administrative buildings and save $250,000 in energy costs.

of the 11,000 solar photovoltaic system panels at Air Products' Trexlertown campus required more than $12,000 in escrow deposits to facilitate a battery of inspections by Upper Macungie Township officials.

The report said Air Products received a $1 million grant from the Pennsylvania Commonwealth Financing Authority for the solar panel projects.
