Customers Bank employees help support the troops
Participate in Second Annual Keystone/Allentown Wounded Warrior 5K Run/Walk
Wyomissing, PA, August 29, 2013 – A sizable contingent of employees representing Customers Bank, a leading community bank with a dozen branches in the suburban Philadelphia / Lehigh Valley region, lent their enthusiasm and their feet to demonstrate support for the troops as they participated in the Keystone Wounded Warriors’ Second Annual Allentown Wounded Warrior 5K Run/Walk on Sunday, August 18 at Lone Lane Park, Upper Macungie Township.
“This was a wonderful opportunity to demonstrate our support to those who have made such incredible sacrifices on behalf of our country,” said Richard Ehst, President and Chef Operating Officer for Customers Bank.
“Events such as this give us the opportunity for us to show that we’re more than just a community bank – we’re also a community supporter,” said Ehst, who is himself a former U.S. Marine and Viet Nam War veteran.
Customers Bank and its employees donated or raised a combined $1700 for the Keystone Wounded Warriors organization, which raised more than $13,000 through the Sunday, August 18 event.
