Weis Shopping Center Could Get More Stores

Upper Macungie Supervisors give preliminary approval to a plan for building stores at the Fogelsville Weis shopping center.

The prospect of additional retail stores at the Fogelsville Weis shopping center at Route 100 and Glenlivet Drive West took a step forward recently when Upper Macungie Supervisors approved a preliminary lot consolidation plan.

Engineers representing Weis Markets said ground at the site could still start being prepared for construction by June.

The 2.906-acre property plan, which has undegone some minor changes since last presented to the township, would house a 9,375-square-foot multi-use retail establishment. The second retail building is pegged at 8,400 square feet.
