When and how did your business get started?

"Truly One-on-One Service" is our forte' at The Hairport in Trexlertown, which officially launched in early 2012. Disenchanted by appointment delays and chaotic salon atmospheres, we created the "Do Not Double-Book" concept because we appreciate your time with us! This niche has propelled us to earn Patch's Best Place to Get a Haircut in UMT, 2012! Despite any official advertising efforts, new clients have been flying in via word-of-mouth and Web searches only. Look for our classy new logo and official signage in place shortly.

Why did you decide to open your business in Upper Macungie?

Native to Emmaus/Macungie areas, I have lived in Trexlertown 15 years. Nestled in a mostly residential neighborhood, the salon hovers over the wood floors of a 1919 farmhouse, with high ceilings, pocket doors, and vintage decor. The growing marketplace and direct routes to the main line make Trexlertown an ideal location.

What is your business best known for?

We love transformation through the art of hair color! We provide hair cuts to Men, Women, and Children as well as waxing services and pedicures. Facials will be on the menu shortly. Due to One-on-One service, we schedule by reservation only, but last minute appointments are often accommodated via phone call or text message.

What's something interesting about your business your customers might not know?

The Hairport in Trexlertown is atypical in atmosphere and attitude. It is warm, inviting and quiet; not cold, chaotic or loud. We love our jobs and our down-to-earth personalities make each visit a joy. We only work on one person at a time and we do not have assistants, we do all the work ourselves!
We love U.S. Veterans and Hot Rods!
