New Bimbo Bakeries Plant Taking Shape in Upper Macungie
Work continues on the bakery complex, located at 105 Boulder Drive in Upper Macungie.
Construction on the Bimbo Bakeries USA plant, which is expected to begin operations in early 2014, progressed this week despite the cold and windy weather.
Bimbo Bakeries USA is building a new $75 million, state-of-the-art bakery in Upper Macungie that will bring more than 100 jobs to the area and produce bread and buns for the Northeast.
The 30-acre site is across from Ocean Spray's new facility, which is also currently under construction.
