The Allentown Fair ends Monday with a bang. Probably quite a few of them.
After a week of concerts, the fair turns its grandstand over to J&J Demo, whose annual demolition derby is an end-of-fair tradition.
This year’s derby adds something new to the mix: the “Crazy Compact Cars” race. The crashes start at 5 p.m. Tickets are $15, or $10 for kids under 12.
Tickets for the fair itself are $6 at the gate, and free for kids under 12. You can ride rides at the fair all day for a $15 wristband if you buy it in advance. Otherwise, it's $22.
Fair hours are noon to 10 p.m. Monday. You can park onsite for $8 at Tunnel Gate 7, 1850 Liberty St. For more information, visit the fair's website.
