Yard Waste Center Expands Hours

Upper Macungie Township's yard waste drop off site began its spring, summer and fall hours this week. The site is for the use of township residents only. Contractors and businesses are not permitted to use the facility.

Upper Macungie Township's yard waste site started observing its spring, summer and fall hours on Monday.

The yard waste site, located on Grim Road near its intersection with Schantz Road, adjacent to the Public Works garage, gives township property owners the means to properly dispose of leaves and other yard waste.

The site's spring, summer and fall hours are:

  • Mondays and Fridays: 7 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Tuesday through Thursday: 3 p.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 9 a.m. to 7 p.m.

The site is for the use of township residents only. Contractors and businesses are not permitted to use the facility.

Residents may drop off grass clippings, leaves, shrubs and small trees. All waste must be removed from bags.

Grass must be separated from other yard waste.  Shrubs and small trees no longer than 4 feet long and 5 inches wide are accepted.

Free mulch is available to residents as well.
