Winter Weather Advisory in Effect Until Monday Morning

Snow is expected to fall on the region throughout the afternoon Sunday.

Although earlier forecasts called for only a sprinkling of snow for Eastern Pennsylvania on Sunday, the region will be hit with significantly more.

Two to three inches of snow are expected to fall throughout the day, with a mix of rain and sleet between  9 and 11 p.m., according to the National Weather Service in Mount Holly.

Temperatures will be below freezing into Sunday night.

A winter weather advisory for the region is in effect until 6 a.m. Monday.
