View Finder: Cub Scouts Race Cars In Pinewood Derby

Photographer Betty Cauler captured the fun Saturday at in as Cub Scout Pack 1600 raced the small cars they had built for their Pinewood Derby.

The top five winners, who will represent Pack 1600 at next month's North Valley District Pinewood Derby are: First Place, Seth Fine; second place, Jonah Smith; third place, Parker Tipa; fourth place, T.J. Dale; and fifth place, Jonathan Kloiber.

 Den winners are as follows: 

Tiger Den - Times: First, Robby Moyer; second, Jacob Wichterman; third - William Meeker. Other awards: Best Paint Job, Joe Horn; Best Design, Aeddon Lukens; Best Overall, Christopher Rarick. 

Wolf Den - Times: First,  Gabe Dirnbeck; second, Thomas Theiner, third, Jarrett Nguyen. Other awards: Best Paint Job, Kennan Petraglia; Best Design, Thomas Theiner; Best Overall,  Zach Evans 

Bear Den - Times: First - Michael Horn; second, Ethan Monceaux; third - Benjamin Dobbs.  Other awards: Best Paint Job, Jonathan Kloiber; Best Design, Ryan Evans; Best Overall, Ethan Monceaux. 

Webelo I Den - Times: First - Hunter Gioia; second, Matthew Zager; third - Logan Webb.  Other awards: Best Paint Job, Seth Fine; Best Design, Scott Hudak; Best Overall, Hunter Gioia. 

Webelo II Den - Times: First - Rockie Scarl, Jr.; second, Bartosz Burda; third, Matthew Adamowicz. Other awards: Best Paint Job, Bartosz Burda; Best Design, Grayson Fedorov; Best Overall, Charles Theiner.

The North Valley District Pinewood Derby will be held at Springhouse Middle School at 9 a.m. on  March 26.
