Shelter Animals in Need of Homes

Meet Keith and Cojax and read their stories

Each week Upper Macungie Patch features shelter animals in need of permanent, loving homes. This week we bring you two dogs, each desperately in need of adoption.  Are you considering a canine companion for your home?  Please read more about these two sweet guys and why they really need homes to call their own.

KEITH

This eight-year-old golden retriever has the activity level of a four-year old.  He’s a sweet, loving boy who was used as a stud dog in a puppy mill.  As a result, he received very little attention, affection or care from his owners.  He needs to be the only four-legged resident in his new home, and Keith will do best with a patient family who can continue to help him overcome his emotional scars from his puppy mill days.  He is neutered, housebroken, up to date on shots and in good health.  He has never really had the opportunity to live in a home, so Keith is very eager to find one he can call his own.  Can you help?

COJAX

Cojax is a four-year-old fawn boxer who loves to play soccer.  He has a strong affinity for other dogs and people, too.  Sadly, this poor guy was rescued from the end of a chain back in 2008. He has spent the last few years in a kennel, and he needs to find a home to call his own.  All Cojax requires is a patient family to help him adjust to a home environment, and lots of love.  He is up to date on shots, heartworm free and neutered.
