Shelter Animals in Need of Homes

Check out Tiger and Shadow this week

Each week Upper Macungie Patch features shelter animals in need of permanent homes through local animal welfare groups. This week we bring you a dog and a cat available for adoption. If you are thinking of adding a pet to your home, won’t you consider adopting one of these two lovable creatures?

SHADOW

An 11-year-old Pomeranian, Shadow was recently given up for adoption when his 80-year-old owner couldn’t care for him any longer.  Although he needs a little TLC, he is a lovable dog who enjoys everyone he meets.  He gets along well with other dogs and children; he doesn’t mind cats, either.  Shadow is current on vaccinations, has had recent bloodwork and is house trained.  He does have a heart murmur, typical for his breed and he could lose a few pounds.  Otherwise, this sweet boy just needs to find a home that will provide him with the care he needs for the rest of his years.

TIGER

This adorable little girl was rescued from a mobile home park.  Approximately a year-old, Tiger is a brown and black tabby.  A sweet kitty, she is a bit shy and quiet. But, with patience and understanding she blossoms, becoming less reserved when she feels safe and secure.  Tiger is spayed, vaccinated and FIV/FeLV negative. She is eagerly awaiting the right person to take her home.

Tiger is available through The Cat Shack www.thecatshack.com.  To schedule a time to meet her, call 610-967-9097.
