Shelter Animals in Need of Homes

Maggie and Scruffy need a second chance.

Each week Upper Macungie Patch features pets in need of permanent homes from local animal welfare groups. This week we bring you two young animals, each with a sad story to share. If you have room in your home for a pet, won’t you consider adopting one of these two lovable creatures?

MAGGIE

Just a year old, this young lady has a colorful torbie coat and bright, beautiful eyes.  Sadly, she was found outside with a litter of kittens, struggling to care for her family. While the kittens have all grown up and found homes, Maggie is still in need of one. She is very sweet and playful, and especially loves her crinkle tunnel.  She may be happiest as an only cat.  Maggie is spayed, FeLV/FIV negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and spayed.  All this sweet kitty needs is a loving home to call her own.

SCRUFFY

Approximately 2-years-old, Scruffy is a male cockapoo.  His owners no longer have time to care for him and have decided he should find a new home.  This little guy loves to snuggle and gets very excited to see people.  His is housebroken, up to date on shots, and is neutered. Weighing only 25 pounds, he doesn’t require a large home or yard. Don’t let his name fool you—this guy is adorable.

Scruffy is available through The Sanctuary at Haafsville (www.thesanctuarypa.org).

Call Brittney at 610-533-4141 if interested in meeting this little guy.
