Shelter Animals in Need of Homes

An Elvis sighting and a dynamic duo this week

Each week Upper Macungie Patch features shelter animals in need of permanent, loving homes. This week we bring you cats from The Cat Shack, a local animal welfare group. If you or someone you know has room for a cuddly critter or two, won’t you please consider adopting?

BENNY & SNOOPY

Sadly, this dynamic duo lost their home of five years. They are sweet, affectionate cats sure to make an adopter very happy.

Benny is a large, chubby lighter orange cat. Nervous when first placed in foster care, he is now very forward and friendly.  He loves his buddy, Snoopy, and “sings” for his dinner.

Snoopy is a slender, active darker orange tabby. He relaxed quickly in foster care and loves to explore. He is talkative and responds to attention by purring and rolling on his back.

Both boys are neutered, FeLV/FIV negative, vaccinated, dewormed, and treated with monthly flea treatment. They are indoor cats who love to spend time on their sun porch. The pair would prefer to be adopted together.

ELVIS

With pale blue eyes and beautiful markings, Elvis is a gorgeous cat. Found wandering in one of Philly’s worst neighborhoods, this young man was scheduled to be euthanized simply because he had a cold. He won the heart of his foster mom, who knew she had to save him.

Elvis is extremely affectionate with people, loves to be petted, and is very chatty and communicative. Since he’s not particularly fond of other cats, he would do best in a home without other felines, or maybe in a situation where others are adopted later so he could be the boss. He is very playful and loves his toys. No doubt this young man will be a loving addition to any home.
