Shelter Animals in Need of Homes

Meet Scout and Libby, this week's featured animals

Each week Upper Macungie Patch features shelter animals in need of permanent, loving homes through area animal welfare groups. This week we feature Scout and Libby, two young beauties who both need a new “leash” on life.  If you or someone you know is interested in bringing a four-legged friend home, please consider adopting one of these two cuddly creatures.

SCOUT

This two-year-old Golden mix has a fantastic furry coat in a beautiful golden hue. Scout is a very smart, athletic and lovable young man. He lost his previous home for chasing the cats; he needs a new home without any felines or other dogs. However, Scout has greatly improved his ability to be around other dogs to play and socialize with. He loves romping in the field, playing on agility equipment and chasing balls.  There is no doubt he will make a great companion.

LIBBY

Spotted walking outside in the cold back in December, Libby was rescued and is currently with a foster family. This sweet young lady is approximately one-year-old and is sweet to everyone she meets. The beautiful tiger stripe with vivid green eyes enjoys relaxing in a sunny window, sitting on your lap and being brushed. Her foster family includes teenagers as well as other cats and a dog. Libby gets along well with the cats and children; she does not bother with the dog. Her foster family considers her low maintenance and enjoys having her stay with them. But, Libby really looks forward to finding her forever home. Can you help?
