It's Time to Start Planning Your Weekend

Where/When:  Boston’s Restaurant & Sports Bar, 327 Star Road, Allentown; Friday through Monday.

Why Go: It’s a delicious way to support a great cause! In celebration of Valentine’s Day and to help support the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation International (JDRF), heart-shaped pizzas and mini-dippers are being sold. Boston’s will donate $1 to JDRF on the sale of these items.

Pricing: $9.29 - $17.99 for pizzas; $5.49 for mini-dippers

Where/When:  Rascal’s, 6616 Ruppsville Road, Allentown; Friday, 8-11 p.m.

Why Go: Is there anything that beats live music in a fun atmosphere?

Where/When:  Ziegels Union Church, 9990 Ziegels Church Road, Breinigsville; Sunday, 12:15 p.m.

Why Go: Enjoy local talent such as a hot dog eating contest, a stand-up comedy routine and a singing performance. Lasagna, salad and dessert will be served for lunch.

Where/When:  Goodwill Fire Company, 7723 Hamilton Blvd, Trexlertown; Sunday, 8 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.

Why Go:  Enjoy a homemade breakfast of eggs, homefries, toast, pancakes and your choice of meat.  Proceeds will go towards medical expenses of Kathy Schmoyer who is battling cancer.

Pricing: $6, adults; $4.50, children
