Check out a computer class, a burger contest or volunteer for a local animal sanctuary.

It’s Thursday, and you’ve got no idea what you’ll do for the weekend.

2.    SECOND CHANCE LIVE

3.    COMPUTER BASICS CLASS  

Where/When: Parkland Community Library, 4422 Walbert Ave. Allentown; Saturday, 2-3 p.m.

Why Go: Do you or someone you know still need some instruction on computer basics? This is the perfect class.

Pricing: Free.

4.    VOLUNTEER ORIENTATION 

Where/When: NOTE:  This event is being held at 2456 S. Lumber St., Allentown; Sunday, 6 p.m.

Why Go: It’s a great way to learn about the history and mission of the Sanctuary at Haafsville in Upper Macungie Township and meet other animals interested in animal welfare. Volunteer and adoption day opportunities will be discussed.

 5.    BEST BURGER IN THE VALLEY CONTEST

Where/When: , 5239 Tilghman St., Allentown; Saturday, 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.

Why Go: Hamburger tasting and activities for the entire family! All proceeds benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society’s “Light the Night” Walk.
