Holiday Weekend, Fireworks Show Top Week Ahead
The annual Breinigsville Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular tops the week's events in Upper Macungie.
The Fourth of July is Thursday and many businesses will close Friday for a four-day weekend.
Upper Macungie Township offices will be closed on both Thursday and Friday.
The regularly-scheduled Upper Macungie Supervisors meeting has been moved to Wednesday, July 3 at 7 p.m. at the township meeting room.
All Upper Macungie Township residents are invited to celebrate American independence at the annual Breinigsville Independence Day Fireworks Spectacular to be held on Saturday, July 6, at Earl Adams Park (Breinigsville Park).
This free event kicks off at 7:15 p.m. with music by The Municipal Band of Allentown. A patriotic music sing-along will follow at 8:30 p.m.
The night skies will bloom and boom at around 9:30 p.m. with one of the greatest fireworks displays to be seen anywhere in the Lehigh Valley.
The rain date is Sunday, July 7.
