Orefield Middle School student Leah Toomey, of South Whitehall, did it again.

One of her creative sandwich ideas has landed her among the 10 finalists in Jif's Most Creative Peanut Butter Sandwich contest. She was a top 10 finalist two years ago too.

"We never thought she could be in the top ten again, so we are excited," said her mother, Diane Toomey.

Now Leah needs your vote to make it to the top five, so she can get to New York and have a chance at winning the $25,000 college fund top prize. Online voting plays a big part in this phase of the contest. Four runners-up will each receive a $2,500 college fund.

Leah's "Crunchy, Creamy, Dreamy Finger Sandwich"  is a made with Lady Fingers, peanut butter, heavy cream, pretzels, mild chocolate and cheese.

To vote, go to the Jif webpage. Under the rules, people can vote once a day, through before noon on Feb. 7.

Entrants had to be between 6 and 12 years old. According to Jif's webpage, the sandwiches are initially judged on creativity, taste, nutritional balance, visual appeal and the ease of preparing it. The top 25 recipes are then tested and assigned points, with the 10 finalists chosen.
