Fourth of July: What's Closed, What's Open

Independence Day is a federal and state holiday.

Thursday is Independence Day, more commonly referred to as the Fourth of July. It is a state and federal holiday. Here is what's closed and what's open on the Fourth of July.

Here is what's closed:

Upper Macungie Township municipal offices will be closed Thursday and Friday.  (No trash pickup Thursday; pickups will be a day later).

The Lehigh County Courthouse

District Judge Michael Faulkner's office

State offices, including PennDOT driver's license and photo centers. (Driver and vehicle online services are available. www.dmv.state.pa.us

Federal offices 

Post offices, and no mail pickup or delivery. Express Mail will be delivered.
