Five Things To Know In Upper Macungie This Week

Board meetings, open volleyball, readings and state swimming championships.

Here are Five Things to Know in and around Upper Macungie Township this week:

1. The Upper Macungie Township Planning Board will hold its monthly work session tonight, Monday, at 7 p.m. at the municipal building, located at 8330 Schantz Rd. in Breinigsville

2. Parkland Community Library, located at 4422 Walbert Ave. in Allentown,  will host The Black Rose Teen Tellers meeting from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Tuesday. The Teen Tellers tell stories, plan programs and run workshops for younger children at the Parkland Community Library and in the community.  The group is open tellers in grades six through 12. Contact Karen Maurer at 610-398-1361, ext. 19.

3. Open volleyball continues Wednesday nights at 8 p.m. at Jaindl Elementary School, located at 1051 Weilers Rd in Breinigsville. All ages and skills levels are welcome.

4. The Fogelsville Elementary School PTO will hold a Parent Teacher Organization meeting Wednesday at 7 p.m. at the school, located at 312 Route 100 South in Breinigsville.

5. The Parkland High School boys and girls swimming and diving teams will compete in the PIAA 4A championships at Bucknell University in Lewisburg.
