Five Things To Know About In Upper Macungie This Week

More road delays, a Recreation Board meeting and a charity bike ride.

A new work week is upon us and, as such, here are five things to know about in the Upper Macungie Area this week:

1. PennDOT road crews will be active throughout the area this week. Work will likely cause delays Monday on Tilghman Street between Adams Road and Route 22; on Tuesday on Schantz Road between Route 863 and Adams Road and on Thursday on Seipstown Road between Route 863 and Tilghman Street.

2. A pre-audition meeting for the Parkland High School dance team is scheduled Wednesday after school hours.

3. The Upper Macungie Township Recreation Board meets Thursday evening at 7 p.m. at the municipal building, located at 8330 Schantz Rd. in Breinigsville.

5. The inaugural "Let Me Go," charity bicycle ride to benefit St. Luke's Hospice will take place Saturday at Bob Rodale Cycling and Fitness Park in Trexlertown. The event is limited to 300 participants. Participants must register by 10 p.m. March 30 at www.bikereg.com. A children's ride will commence at 2 p.m.
