Holiday Craft Festivals This Weekend in Upper Macungie Area

St. Joseph the Worker Women's Guild, Goodwill Fire Co.'s Ladies Auxiliary and St. Paul's UCC are among those hosting craft festivals.

Dozens of vendors are setting up shop at several craft fairs in the Upper Macungie area this weekend.

St. Joseph the Worker Women's Guild CraftFest is today, Nov. 10, and Sunday, Nov. 11, in Orefield.

More than 40 vendors will have original items for sale at the church hall, and there will be lunch with homemade halupki, halushki, periogi, turkey and beef barbecue and hot dogs.

Sue Shortell, chairwoman, said CraftFest is not your average church bazaar.

"Years ago people made their stuff in house. It’s evolved now and we set it like a boutique," Shortell said.

The church is at 1879 Applewood Drive, Orefield, and the event is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, and from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 11. On Sunday there will be free coffee and doughnuts.

The Annual Art and Craft Show at the Goodwill Fire Co. is from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. today, Nov. 10. 

Sponsored by the Ladies Auxiliary, there will be three rooms with more than 60 tables of handmade crafts. There also will be refreshments, baked goods and homemade soups.

St. Paul's UCC Bazaar is today from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. in Trexlertown. There will be hand-made crafts, a quilt raffle and other prizes, basket raffle and bake sale. The lunch menu includes pork BBQ, hotdogs and soup.
