$1M Winning Cash 5 Sold at Trexlertown Top Star

The Trexlertown gas station and convenience store sold the $1 million winning Cash 5 ticket for Monday night's drawing.

A winning Pennsylvania Cash 5 lottery ticket was sold at the Trexlertown Top Star Monday, making someone in the area a millionaire.

The Cash 5 ticket correctly matched all five balls (02-13-20-41-42) in Monday night's drawing, according to www.palottery.com

Employees at the Top Star store wouldn't comment on the winning ticket, citing store policy even though the store receives a $5,000 bonus for selling the winning ducat. There wasn't even a sign on the lottery machine proclaiming the store sold a million-dollar winner.

Top Star customers were surprised by the story of a big win at the location.

A man named Ray, who declined to give his last name, just finished buying a cadre of Cash 5 tickets and said he wasn't aware of a winner being sold at the store.

"I didn't know that," he said. "And, I come by here once a week to buy tickets. I wish I'd come by yesterday."

Ray said he'd probably buy a house at the shore with a million dollars.

Linda Urban of Breiningsville said she wished it were her husband who'd won, because he plays Cash 5 at the Top Star all the time.

"I'd probably invest it in some beach property," she said.

Mike Armbruster of Trexlertown said he doesn't play the lottery too often.

"I'd save the money for my kids," he said. "A million dollars is a lot of money."

Then, there are those people such as Dave Floyd of Breinigsville who never play the lottery at all.

"No. Nope. It doesn't exist for me," he said.

Cash 5 winners have one year from the drawing date to claim prizes.
