Wellementary, Job Hunt Help Thursday in Upper Macungie

Good morning everyone. It's Thursday, Oct. 17. Let's take a look at what's happening today in Upper Macungie.

1. Is your local elementary school a "Wellementary"? That's the term Parkland is using for a new program to help families lead a healthier lifestyle. The district is holding four free sessions at various schools between now and the end of the year. 

The first one is scheduled for tonight at 6:30 p.m. at Orefield Middle School. it's called Kickstart Your Health, and features cardio kickboxing classes and a smoothie station. Find out more and sign up on the district website.

2. Are you looking for work? Peg Kokie of ISS Temporary Services will be at the Parkland Library tonight at 7 p.m. to talk about jobs that are available.

3. Parkland's Community Advisory Council meets tonight at 7 p.m. at the school district's administration building boardroom. Come out and learn  learn about clubs and activities that are offered at the middle and high school.
