Thursday in Upper Mac: Book Talk and Johnny Drama

Teens will hold a ministry program at St. Joseph the Worker Parish and the Upper Macungie Supervisors hold their monthly meeting Thursday.

Thursday, Sept. 5 is expected to feature fall-like weather with sunny, blue skies and a high near 78 degrees, according to the National Weather Service. Get outdoors and enjoy if you can.

Here's what's going on in and around Upper Macungie:

Join Connie Newcomb, author of "Dog Show Confidential: Sneaking in the Back Door of Westminster," to learn about how she turned a neurotic, man-hating Chihuahua puppy into a champion, ending up at Madison Square Garden’s annual televised Westminster Kennel Club dog show with an Award of Merit for her second champion. It's the Book Signing and Talk at Parkland Community Library Thursday at 7 p.m.
