'Robin Hood,' Book Discussion Wednesday in Upper Macungie

A look at what's happening each day in Upper Macungie.

Good morning everyone. It's Wednesday, Oct. 23. Let's take a look at what's happening today in/around Upper Macungie.

  • Orefield Middle School presents its fall play, Robin Hood, Wednesday at 7 p.m. Over at Springhouse Middle School, they're performing Dr. Doolittle. It's possible to see both shows: there are performances scheduled for Friday at 8 p.m. and Sunday at 2 p.m. Tickets are $5.
  • "The book was better" is a pretty common refrain when a novel gets turned into a movie. It's the subject of the Books Into Movies discussion Wednesday evening at 7 at the Parkland Community Library, where the topic is Nicholas Sparks' The Lucky One.
  • It will be a good day to stay indoors. Look for rainy weather, with a high around 53 degrees.
  • Do you lock your car? It's a good time to start. Upper Macungie police say a number of residents have reported thefts from their cars in the last few days.
