 rthwest will continue their U.S. East Coast tour this summer with a conc
 ert at the Crocodile Rock Cafe\, Thursday\, July 19\, from 8- midnight. 
 &nbsp\;The seven-piece band features the award-winning Oxford on trombon
 e and multiple vocalists\, backed by a stellar collection of musicians -
  each a virtuoso in his/her own right.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;The interplay betwee
 n the performers provides the audience with something entertaining to wa
 tch\, as well as to hear.&nbsp\;\nAlthough essentially blues-based\, The
  Randy Oxford Band prides itself on showcasing music that defies easy cl
 assification.&nbsp\; From classics like Etta&rsquo\;s &ldquo\;At Last\,&
 rdquo\; to originals that crackle with jazz licks and funky rhythms\, th
 e band prefers to define itself\, building upon each player&rsquo\;s cre
 ativity and talent. Randy and his band are looking forward to furthering
  their reputation for presenting high-energy shows\, with well-crafted m
 usical arrangements\, inspired solos\, and a spirited sense of fun.&nbsp
 \;&nbsp\;\nTheir performance at the Crocodile Rock Cafe follows their ap
 pearance at the North Atlantic Blues Fest on July 14. Other appearances 
 include shows at Fort Allen Park on the Eastern Promenade in Portland\, 
 ME\, Chan&rsquo\;s in Woonsocket\, RI\, Bobbique on Long Island\, NY\, C
 lub Metronome in Burlington\, VT\, The Blue Note in NYC\, and a final sh
 ow at The Big Easy in Portland\, ME.\nThe band is touring in support of 
 their critically acclaimed CD\, &ldquo\;Festival\,&rdquo\; which has rec
 eived extensive airplay throughout the country.&nbsp\;&nbsp\;The Randy O
 xford Band earned a spot in the finals at the International Blues Challe
 nge in 2011\, resulting in appearances last year at Le Festival Internat
 ional de Tremblant\, two successful tours of the mid-west\, and up-comin
 g shows at the San Diego Blues Festival\, Bronze\, Blues\, and Brews Fes
 tival (Oregon)\, the Big Sky Blues Festival (Montana) and more.
