Upper Macungie Police are searching for a man who made a purchase Tuesday at the Kuhnsville Mini-Mart, located at 5743 Tilghman Street, using bad bills. Police said they are looking for a black man, approximately 5'-8" and 180 pounds, wearing a gray shirt, jeans and a New York Yankees cap. Police ask that anyone with information on this crime contact them at 484-661-5911.
Upper Macungie Police say someone broke into the Carlton Pools store at 7620 Hamilton Boulevard in Trexlertown Wednesday and stole cash. Police did not say how much cash was taken from the store. A 16-year-old was charged with setting a May 18 fire in the woods adjacent to  Lone Lane Park in addition to a slew of other offenses, according to Upper Macungie Police. The fire was reported at 2:18 a.m. on May 18, police said. Police said the 16-year-old was charged with dangerous burning, disorderly conduct, public drunkeness, underage drinking and criminal mischief.
Upper Macungie Police say they were dispatched to four separate incidents of thefts from vehicles and vehicles being ransacked. The locations were: The 1500 block of Russet (Green Hills) The 200 block of Wyndham (Windermere) The 5500 block of Juniper (Green Hills) The 200 block of Lenape ( Olde Towne) Police say in some of these cases, items such as change and a GPS unit were removed. In all of these cases, no signs of forced entry were observed, suggesting that the vehicles were unlocked. A 30-year-old Emmaus man was cited for failure to yield following a two-car accident Tuesday morning at the intersection of Route 100 and Schaefer Run Road, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said Marc Wells, 30, of Emmaus was traveling north on Route 100 in a 2008 Dodge Ram, when he made a left turn and collided with a 2002 Chrysler Sebring driven by Clarence Burkhard, 66, of Macungie. Police said no injuries were reported.  
Upper Macungie Police said three local businesses were recently cited for having four or more false alarms during the past 12 months. The businesses are: The Rural Sportsmen's Club of Trexlertown, 1090 Trexlertown Road, Trexlertown. Bank of America, 7720 Main Street, Fogelsville. First Commonwealth Federal Credit Union, 7627 Tilghman Street, Allentown.
Upper Macungie Police are seeking a driver who left the scene of an accident Sunday morning at the intersection of Chapmans Road and Hickory Lane. Police said the vehicle, thought to be a large, black SUV, failed to stop at a stop sign at the intersection of Hickory Lane and Chapmans Road and went through the intersection at high speed. Police said the vehicle crossed over into the northbound lane of Chapmans Road, struck another car, and drove away. Upper Macungie Police said a woman was taken to the hospital for evaluation following a two-car accident Friday at the intersection of Hamilton Blvd and Lower Macungie Road. Police said a 1999 Jeep SUV, driven by Bernard Pollock, collided with a 2011 Ford Explorer driven by Melanie Poitevin, at approximately 3 p.m. Friday. Police said Poitevin was taken to the hospital for a medical evaluation. Police said Pollock was not injured.
Upper Macungie Police said significant front-end damage was sustained by two vehicles in a Friday morning crash at the intersection of Mill Road and Ambassador Drive. Police said the crash happened at approximately 10:30 a.m. Friday, when a 2003 Saturn sedan driven by Michael Kincaid of Lehighton collided with a 2005 Jeep SUV, driven by James Burke of Orefield. Both vehicles were towed from the intersection, police said. Police reported no injuries.
Upper Macungie Police say they cited a Limerick man Thursday for failure to yield in connection with a morning accident at the intersection of Route 222 and Grim Road. Police said David Manninen, 41, of Limerick, was driving a 2013 Ford Fusion north on Route 222 when he made a left turn and collided with a 2003 2500 HD driven by 64-year-old Leonard Woronowicz, of Glen Gardner, N.J. Police said Woronowicz's vehicle was towing a 2005 Pequest trailer. No one was injured in the accident. Both vehicles sustained moderate damage and were towed by Faust Towing. Upper Macungie Police are investigating a daytime burglary on Monday at 6646 Fugazotto Drive, where electronics and several other items were taken. Police said someone entered the home through an unlocked rear door. Police said an iPad, a PSP Play Station, a class ring and a gold watch were stolen from different parts of the home. Upper Macungie Police  said a woman was told by telephone that her father was being held captive and that the caller demanded a $2,500 ransom for his safe return. Police said the victim received a cell phone call Monday at the Hilton Garden Inn in Breinigsville at approximately 2:30 p.m. Police said the woman was told her father was being held captive. The caller demanded $2,500 for his release. Police said the woman hung up the phone, called her father, and ascertained he was safe. Police said the call was an attempt of fraud under false pretenses.
Taco Bell, located at 248 S. Route 100 in Breinigsville, has been cited again for having four or more false alarms in a 12-month period, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police say the latest false alarm incidents occurred on May 5 at 2:58 a.m. and April 23 at 8:22 p.m.
Upper Macungie Police say they are investigating the theft of an undisclosed sum of money by an employee from the Long John Silver's restaurant in Fogelsville. Police said the burglary, which took place Feb. 17, was reported Wednesday. Police said they are investigating, but did not provide further details.

A man who allegedly assaulted two Upper Macungie Township police officers is scheduled to face a preliminary hearing Friday morning in Lehigh County Court, according to online court records. Thomas J. Patton, 21, of Allentown, has been in Lehigh County Prison in lieu of $75,000 bail since he allegedly assaulted two Upper Macungie police officers responding to a call of a disturbance at 393 Natalie Drive in the township. Upper Macungie Police are looking for a man they say stole approximately 30 wooden pallets from the Tractor Supply Co. store at 7450 Hamilton Blvd. in Trexlertown. Police said a man in his 30s took the pallets at approximately 5 a.m. Tuesday. Police said the man left the Tractor Supply store in a two-tone 1980s Ford or Dodge pickup. Police described the truck as having a red top and bottom with silver or white on the side panels. Police are investigating the theft and ask anyone with information to contact them at 484-661-5911.
An Allentown man is in Lehigh County Prison on charges he allegedly assaulted his girlfriend and sent threatening text messages to her brother, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said 19-year-old Joshua Carrasco was being held on several charges after allegedly assaulting his 21-year-old girlfriend who lives in Upper Macungie on several occasions earlier this week. Police said Carrasco sent threatening text messages to the girlfriend's brother, also of Upper Macungie. Police said Carrasco is charged with simple assault, terroristic threats, harassment and harassment by communication. …
Upper Macungie Police said two workers at the Tree of Life warehouse in Breinigsville got into a fight early Tuesday, and simple assault and harassment charges were pending against one of them. Police said a verbal argument turned physical about 1:07 a.m. between Nathaniel Smalls, 47, of Allentown and a 27-year-old man. Police said simple assault and harassment charges will be filed against Smalls.
A motocross motorcyle was stolen from a Breinigsville garage either Saturday night or in the early morning hours of Sunday, according to Upper Macungie Police. Police said someone entered a garage at 10026 Deitrich Road in Breinigsville sometime between 6 p.m. Saturday and 8 a.m. Sunday and stole the motorcycle. Police said the motorcyle was a red, white and blue 2002 Honda with Lucas Oil logos and the number 392 on the front and side. Police are investigating the incident.
