Lehigh Carbon Community College held a canine break for its students looking to de-stress from exam week by providing access to therapy dogs from Therapy Dogs International. Dubbed "Pause for Therapy Dogs," the two-day event gave students the opportunity to relax and unwind for a few minutes during exam week, something that was welcome by many. "It's pretty relaxing. One day before the opening of its new location, Giant Food Store of Trexlertown gave a total of $6,000 to community organizations. The store made $1,000 donations to the Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department, the Parkland School District and the Goodwill Fire Company #1 of Trexlertown in celebration of the store's openinng. Jaindl Elementary School students and faculty honored veterans Friday morning at the Upper Macungie Township facility by holding a tribute program to former servicemen and women. Pennsylvania State Police re-dedicated its Fogelsville station Wednesday just two days after the same troop announced it had been able to help arrest a suspect in a brutal double homicide. Lt.
