This sign for Lone Lane Park is nearly obliterated by snow. But, as of today, there are just 47 days until spring.  But, whether it shows up early is another story. We'll have to wait to see what Punxsutawney Phil says Wednesday when Groundhog Day rolls around. In the meantime, a winter storm watch issed by the National Weather Service calls for snow, ice and freezing rain starting tonight and stretching into Tuesday into Wednesday. Upper Macungie Township residents dug, scraped and plowed their way out of the latest snowstorm, which totaled about a foot in most areas of Lehigh County. The Parkland School District was forced to cancel classes again Thursday and the next scheduled make-up date, according to its website, is June 16. Snow-weary residents may not get much of a reprieve this weekend, as the latest National Weather Service forecast calls for chances of snow again tomorrow and Saturday. Patch traversed some of the Upper Macungie Township area to see how residents were coping with the effects of the storm.
