Zoners Grant Beauty Salon Variance
Jennifer Hardner of Trexlertown received permission to operate a home-based business.
The Upper Macungie Zoning Hearing Board granted a special exception to operate a home business to Jennifer Hardner of 1236 Trexlertown Road in Trexlertown Wednesday night.
Hardner made the request so she could operate a beauty salon out of the first floor of her home.
Hardner pointed out to the the board that she will be working by herself with no other employees. Three hundred square feet of the home's first floor will be utilized for the business.
"It will just be myself, not high traffic," she told zoners. "I have a fairly large house and will use the first floor with a sink station and a nail station."
Hardner told zoners there is parking for four vehicles on the property and that she would paint lines for proper parking.
She told zoners she plans to be avilable by appointment only four-to-five days per week from approximately 10 a.m. to 7 p.m.

They were wise to grant this since they rubber stamp these warehouses. What about the big empty one on Oldt rd? Can't ocean spray use that?
