Zach Kraus 'Search for the Cure' Event Saturday

A family-focused benefit at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Breinigsville is designed to continue Zach Kraus' dream of finding a cure for pediatric cancer.

It will be "All About the Kids" Saturday, Sept. 22, when the Zack Kraus "Search for the Cure" Event is held at the Valley Preferred Cycling Center in Breinigsville.

The event, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., is designed to continue Zach's dream of finding a cure for cancer. Zach, a Parkland student, lost his 10-year battle with leukemia at age 16, but his legacy lives on.

Patch brought you a story about Zach, his will and his selfless spirit last year.

Saturday's event will feature food, games, a 5K walk/run, music, crafts and a bike and wheelchair decorating contest.

Proceeds benefit CureSearch for Children's Cancer, a national non-profit foundation that funds children's cancer research.

Ironton Elementary School's Facebook page called Zach "a courageous, young man - and former Ironton Stallion - who was always finding ways to help other children fighting cancer."
