Westport Axle Adding 518 Jobs in Breinigsville
Westport Axle, which manufactures axles and sub-auto assemblies, is expanding and bringing 518 jobs within three years to the Lehigh Valley.
Kentucky-based Westport Axle announced Tuesday it is expanding and bringing more than 518 jobs within three years to a 516,800-square-foot warehouse facility next to Amazon.com at 650 Boulder Drive, according to a report in Lehigh Valley Business.com.
The report said Westport Axle, which located in the Valley earlier in the year, will make improvements, equipment purchases and provide training. The company expects to invest more than $5 million in the site, the report said.
The report said the company began its operations in 1986 and has grown into a manufacturer of sub-assemblies for the automotive industry.
