Upper Macungie Supervisors Meet Tonight
The supervisors are likely to address the Fogelsville Dam, the 2013 budget and the status of the new Upper Macungie Police Department.
The Upper Macungie Board of Supervisors will meet tonight at the township meeting hall at 7 with a number of items on the docket.
The supervisors, at their August meeting, did not choose to address the status of the Fogelsville Dam. The state has Fogelsville Dam on Haasadahl Road listed as a "high hazard dam" and wants it fixed or removed. Eiither option could become a very expensive proposition for the township.
Also likely on the agenda this evening are updates on the new Upper Macungie Police Department, the new police station and the ongoing negotiations in regard to disbanding the Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department.
A possible agenda item could be an update on the status of the 2013 township budget.
The usual reports from the Recreation Board, Planning Commission, Fire Commission, Public Works and Zoning Hearing Board will also be heard.
