Upper Macungie Supervisor Kathy Rader said the township needs volunteers for recreational activities this fall, particularly the 5K Run/Walk for Parks that will take place that will take place Sunday, Oct. 7 at 9 a.m. from Lone Lane Park to Grange Park.

The recreation board is sponsoring its annual Adult Pickup Volleyball from Sept. 11 through Feb. 26 at Fogelsville Middle School.

And, there will be a Hunter/Trapper Educational course scheduled for Independent Park, at 150 Independent Road in Breinigsville, on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 20 and 21, from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m.

The course is free, but you must register at www.pgc.state.pa.us.
