Upper Maungie is bringing in a mobile shredding company to shred paper documents for people at the township Public Works building at the intersection of Grim and Schantz roads on Saturday, June 9.
The township will also accept electronics to be recycled, including fax machines, phones, televisions, computers, monitors, printers, copiers, keyboards, cameras, radios and stereo equipment.
The event will run from 9 a.m. to noon, rain or shine, according to the township.
Those who bring documents don't have to worry about removing staples but the shredding will be only for paper documents. No photo negatives or heavy plastics or x-rays are allowed.
