Tennis Clinic Back by Popular Demand

Upper Macungie's tennis clinic, which is running through June, will be back for a second session this summer because of popularity.

Upper Macungie's tennis clinic, which is currently running regularly since May 7, will hold a second 6-week session, the township Recreation Board reported Thursday night.

The clinic -- which is in its first year -- has attracted 28 participants, some of whom are interested in attending a second session that will run from June 26-Aug. 2, according to the board. The same fee structure will apply, with the cost ranging from $40 to $100 for six week sessions, depending on the skill level and age of players.

The clinic runs separate lessons for children of various ages and for adults.

The lessons are held at Ricky Ridge Park, 5875 Ricky Ridge Trail, Orefield. The clinic is run by a certified tennis pro. The next clinic is June 5.
