PennDOT Road Work: Week of Nov. 19

The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and the Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission has scheduled road work in South Whitehall and Upper Macungie this week:

Upper Macungie

  • Road: Interstate 78 between Route 863 and Route 100
  • Type of Work: Brush cutting
  • Date: Monday, Nov. 19, through Tuesday, Nov. 20, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Restriction: Shoulder restriction eastbout. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and use caution when traveling through work areas.
  • Rain will cause delays.

South Whitehall

  • Road: Route 22 between the Kuhnsville exit and Route 309
  • Type of Work: Construction
  • Date: 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 19 , through 6 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 20. 
  • Restriction: Nighttime. Lane restriction on Route 22 east for work by a Pennsylvania Turnpike contractor. Motorists are urged to use caution when traveling through work areas.
  • Rain will cause delays.

South Whitehall

  • Road: Route 22 between Route 309 and 15th Street
  • Type of Work: Shoulder work/widening
  • Date: Tuesday, Nov. 20,, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
  • Restriction: Lane restriction. Motorists are urged to watch for stopped vehicles and to use caution when traveling through work areas.
  • Rain will cause delays.
