Parkland's Holiday CD Raises Record Amount for Rescue Mission
The holiday CD was made by Parkland's music production class.
Parkland High School’s music production class raised $2,200 for the Allentown Rescue Mission through sales of its holiday CD.
It was the most money raised to date through the annual student project, in its sixth year, the school district said.
This year's CD was titled, "Parkland: A Season for Giving," and it was developed by the students in the high school's music production class who produced unique arrangements of traditional holiday songs or created original songs.
The CD was sold at various winter concerts that students performed last month and at other outlets.
This year's CD featured 11 new songs and 12 hits from the past five years.
