Parkland's 'Hello Dolly' Competes for Freddys Tonight

The Freddy Awards will be broadcast live at 7 p.m. tonight on WFMZ Channel 69 and Parkland's spring musical "Hello Dolly" is in the running for 12 of them.

 

The curtain rises on the tenth annual Freddy Awards tonight and Parkland High School’s production of “Hello Dolly” is nominated for 12 of them.

When: 7 p.m. tonight.

Where: Broadcasting from the State Theatre in Easton live on WFMZ, Channel 69.

Here are Parkland’s nominations for “Hello Dolly”:

-- Outstanding Production of a Musical

-- Outstanding Performance by an Actress in a Leading Role: Payton Sherry as Dolly Gallagher Levi

--Outstanding Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role: William Marshall as Cornelius Hackle

-- Outstanding Performance by an Orchestra

-- Outstanding Use of Costuming

-- Outstanding Achievement in Lighting

-- Outstanding Chorus

-- Outstanding Small Ensemble Performance -- William Marshall, Jonas Bloomfield, Lizzie Markson and Sarah Rice for "Elegance."

-- Outstanding Use of Scenery

-- Outstanding Choreography

-- Outstanding Production Number -- "Put on Your Sunday Clothes"

-- Outstanding Stage Crew

Parkland High School tied Emmaus High School in number of nominations. The only school with more nominations is Freedom High School, which has 17.

"Hello Dolly" was staged in April and featured cameos by district administrators. 

In 2011, Parkland took home four Freddy Awards
