Parkland OKs 6 Hires, 4 Resignations

The personnel moves were approved at Tuesday night's Parkland School Board meeting.

 

The Parkland School Board approved the following personnel moves at its Tuesday meeting:

Resignations/Retirements:

  • Sarah Lemak, part-time clerical assistant at Cetronia Elementary School, effective April 4.
  • Roberta Siegel, Title 1/DRP assistant at Ironton Elementary School, is retiring after eight years of service, effective at the end of the school year.
  • Faye Rentschler, Title 1/DRP assistant at Ironton Elementary School, is retiring after 12 years of service, effective at the end of the school year.
  • Susan L. Lobb, middle school field hockey coach, effective March 13.

Hires:

  • Timothy S. Chappelear, as a first grade teacher at Ironton Elementary School, effective Feb. 25. He will be a short-term substitute, at the daily rate of $250.66, for Dawn Bray, who is on a leave of absence.
  • Donna Robertson, as a part-time mentor for Abbey Mason at Parkland High School, through the end of the school year, at a contracted stipend.
  • Ursula Krulick, of Allentown, as a part-time teaching assistant at Parkland High School, effective March 26, at an hourly rate of $17.79, to replace Cheryll Kosar, who moved to another assignment.
  • Katherine A. Ruth, of Allentown, as a playground aide at Fogelsville Elementary School, effective March 11, at an hourly rate of $14.02, replacing Kathy Mahoski who resigned.
  • William T. Bookholt, of Allentown, as a playground aide at Fogelsville Elementary School, effective March 11, at an hourly rate of $14.02, replacing Marie Rappa who moved to another position.
  • Janelle Makowski, of Allentown, as varsity dance team coach at Parkland High School, for the 2013-2014 school year, at a contracted stipend, to replace Kaylee Schab who resigned.

Change of Status:

  • Marie Rappa, from playground aide to general food service employee at Parkway Manor Elementary School, effective March 11, at an hourly rate of $17.85, replacing Donna White who moved to another assignment.
  • Marie T. Baver, from substitute cafeteria employee to general food service employee at Parkland High School, effective March 11, at an hourly rate of $17.85, replacing Melody Gefroh, who moved to another assignment.
  • Diane Toomey, from substitute cafeteria employee to general food service employee at Parkland High School, effective March 11, at an hourly rate of $17.85, replacing Pam Kilpatrick, who moved to another assignment.
