Parkland Board Honors State Champion Wrestler
Parkland High School sophomore Ethan Lizak was recognized by the board for his 43-1 season and state title.
Parkland High School wrestler Ethan Lizak was recognized by the school board Tuesday night for an outstanding season that culminated in a state championship title.
Lizak, a sophomore, won the 106-pound state PIAA 3A wrestling title in March, capping off a 43-1 season.
His coach, Ryan Nunamaker, told the board that Lizak beat two nationally ranked wrestlers yet he never let that success go to his head. “He’s about the most humble person you can ever meet,” Nunamaker said.
