The store will replace the old location, which will close on today at 6 p.m. The company said the new Trexlertown location boasts 74,000 square feet of shopping space, an increase of 17,000 square feet. The store's amenities will include a pharmacy and a gas station, the company said in a release.

The store will be making donations to the Berks-Lehigh Regional Police Department, the Parkland School District and the Goodwill Fire Company #1 of Trexlertown in celebration of the store's opening.

You're in East Penn school district. That's where you're money should go. You have now completely lost my business. I am certain other people will follow suit. Good luck with that.

Hopefully...they train their cashiers to say "Thank You". None of the other Giant stores' employees do!!

I think this giant is now in upper mac, it use to be in lower mac but moved due to lower mac twsp not allowing the gas pumps....at least that's the story that's going around.

The store is beautiful, problem is...they have the same drug heads and losers working it in from the other store. That is the main difference between Wegmans and Giant, the prices are not that different as long as you stay away from the prepared foods and bakery stuff. Wegmans has polite people working in the store, just some of the snooty and arrogant customers are challenging at times. You really want to get scared, walk into Giant and see who works in that place, at night it is even worse, they all look like felons on work release and are STUPID and LAZY.

This is for the Parkland Parent who stereotyped the workers at Giant. Clearly the employees at Giant aren't lazy or stupid, otherwise they wouldn't even be working at Giant at all. The night shift employees work extra hard packing and unpacking those heavy boxes, reading labels to verify proper inventory, recording data, and continuously restocking the shelves through-out the night; so that we the consumers can shop. Stop judging...it sounds like a personal problem.
