Man Killed Removing Storm Debris in Upper Milford

Hurricane Sandy claims another Lehigh Valley victim as a man dies following an accident when he was removing storm debris on Saturday.

Update:

Jerome Tyson died of multiple blunt force injuries when he was struck by a falling tree while trying to cut it down, the Lehigh County coroner said Monday.

The accident happened at 6:52 p.m. Saturday.

Hurricane Sandy hit the Lehigh Valley hard with storm damage and power outages - and now another possible storm-related death, according to the Lehigh County coroner.

Jerome Tyson, 38, of New Tripoli, was pronounced dead Saturday in the emergency department of Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest. 

Tyson was clearing debris from the hurricane at 6761 Crown Lane in Upper Milford when there was some sort of accident.

The coroner says Tyson's cause and manner of death are pending an autopsy to be done today.

At least four other Lehigh Valley residents died as a result of the storm.

In New Jersey, a man died in a chain saw accident trimming trees after the hurricane.
