Freeze Watch Issued for Tonight

The National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for our area for late Friday night through Saturday morning.

If you still have tender vegetation outside, you should consider bringing it indoors.

That's because the National Weather Service has issued a Freeze Watch for Lehigh and Northampton counties for late Friday night through Saturday morning.

The forecast for our area calls for temperatures to drop into the upper 20s and lower 30s, bringing our region its first frost of the season.

"Sensitive plants will be damaged or killed if not protected or brought indoors," the NWS said in its statement about the watch.

"Conditions could kill crops and other sensitive vegetation," it added.
