Election Preview: Pennsylvania Auditor General
Republican John Maher and Democrat Eugene DePasquale are vying for state Auditor General in the Nov. 6 general election.
Republican John Maher and Democrat Eugene DePasquale are vying for state Auditor General, a four-year position that pays $152,443 annually.
Maher, 54, of Allegheny County, is a state lawmaker and certified public accountant. He has been a member of the state House of Representatives since 1997.
DePasquale, 41, of York County, has been a member of the state House of Representatives since 2007.
Both candidates responded to a questionnaire by the League of Women Voters and answered the question: “If elected, what do you believe to be your most important priority in this office and how will you pursue it?”
