Details Of Fatal I-78 Crash Released By Coroner

Coroner said the victim died of blunt force and head trauma in Monday's accident.

Lehigh County Coroner Scott Grim confirmed Friday that Lucas Cramer, 31, of Duncannon (Perry County), was the driver killed in a fatal truck crash Monday on Interstate 78.

Grim positively identified Cramer's body using DNA techniques. Deputy coroner Richard Kroon had already pronouned Cramer dead at the scene at 5:44 a.m. Monday.

Grim's autopsy revealed the manner of death was accidental and attributed it to blunt force head and chest trauma.

According to reports, a tractor trailer driven by Cramer smashed into the back of a truck driven by James Sherry while traveling east on I-78.

According to the reports, police said the two vehicles traveled 300 feet before rolling down an embankment.

The Lehigh County Coroner and Pennsylvania State Police conducted the investigation.
